MULTIBOR 31131 Carbide Nail Drill Bit is a slim carbide bit with a cone shape, blue medium cross-cut and 2 mm working diameter. Its narrow working profile is suitable for precise filing of the natural nail from underneath, including work under the free edge and correction of the nail shape. It can also be used for controlled removal of artificial nail material.

MULTIBOR 31131 is suitable for:
- Filing the natural nail from underneath
- Refining the underside of the free edge
- Correcting the length and shape of the natural nail

The 2 mm cone profile is particularly convenient when a narrow working tip is required. Similar blue 2 × 14 mm carbide cones are specifically used for filing the natural nail underneath artificial material and for precision work around the nail.
Blue Medium Cross-Cut
The blue marking indicates a medium cut, providing a balance between cutting efficiency and controlled filing. The cross-shaped teeth create active cutting edges while the narrow 2 mm profile allows precise access to small areas.
How to Use
Insert the bit into a compatible e-file handpiece and select the rotation speed according to the procedure. When filing the natural nail from underneath, use light pressure and controlled movements.
Avoid prolonged contact in one area and excessive pressure, especially when working close to the natural nail plate.
Disinfection & Sterilization
Disinfection:
- After use, place the carbide bit into a suitable disinfectant solution. The concentration and exposure time should follow the instructions of the selected disinfectant.
- Clean the working surface from product residue and filings using a nylon or brass bur-cleaning brush.
- For more effective cleaning, the use of an ultrasonic cleaner is recommended.
- Rinse the bit under running water, followed by distilled water.
- Remove excess water with a clean, dry towel.
Sterilization:
Autoclave: Place the cleaned and dried bit into a sterilization pouch and seal it before placing it in the autoclave.
Sterilization cycle: 132°C, 2 bar, 20 minutes.
Dry heat sterilization: Place the cleaned and dried bit into a dry-heat sterilizer.
Sterilization cycle: 180°C, 60 minutes.
